It’s the Exit Festival’s 10th Anniversary and they’ve got some of the best DJ’s playing exclusive back to back sets including Carl Cox vs Green Velvet, Sasha vs John Digweed and Richie Hawtin vs Dubfire. Now that’s what we call a birthday party!
EXIT Festival is delighted to announce that in celebration of the festival’s 10th Anniversary they will be reuniting some of the best and most popular DJs to have performed over the years, for exclusive and back to back sets. Yes, that’s right! DJs will be collaborating and playing back to back with each other!
While many a DJ have played b2b before, this feat has not been done to such a massive scale anywhere before. Each night, DJs from the past 10 years will be playing against each other and creating the biggest birthday bash known in the history of dance music! Some of the collaborations for Dance Arena may very well surprise and they are sure to excite! And above all, it’s going to be one hell of a party!
Celebrating a decade in dance, this will be a monumental landmark in the festival’s history and is guaranteed to set the festival’s birthday off in fire-starting, floor thumping style! The first sets to be announced are; Carl Cox vs Green Velvet, Sasha vs John Digweed and Richie Hawtin vs Dubfire with more tasty collaborations to be announced.
The tour de force Dance Arena has already earned itself a solid reputation and is highly regarded by many as the best in Europe, if not the planet. The experience of dancing with 20,000 people as the sun rises over the fortress walls is truly mind blowing. The only place in Europe – or indeed the world – that offers such an electrifying experience, the EXIT Dance Arena promises to be the hotspot of the clubbing world this summer, with exclusive performances from the world’s most revered DJ’s that you won’t see anywhere else.

Renowned for its diverse and adventurous line ups, EXIT encompasses all genres of music from rock to rap, classical to chill, dance to drum & bass and electronic to experimental. Over 600 performances will take place on 25 stages connected by cobbled streets, ramparts and tunnels – a walk through the historical and awe-inspiring fortress is like a trip through a portal, where the modern world unites and celebrates its freedoms. The Arctic Monkeys, Moby and Madness are the first artists to be announced for the Main stage with more to follow.
Not only that, but the camping grounds will be new and improved! Nestled by the river Danube within walking distance of the Fortress, camping is open for 10 days and features a safe swimming area, a music stage, the usual necessary amenities, stalls to buy things you’ve forgotten, drinks, food, chill out areas and shaded areas and all for £14 +b/f!
Launched 10 years ago as a student initiated protest against the communist Milosevic regime at the Petrodovian Fortress, EXIT has proved that music is a universal language that can connect and bring people together, in a bid to make the world a better place. EXIT is a truly amazing experience that has captured the heart of festival goers worldwide; although it gets bigger each year, the sentiment and unique vibe remains the same. The 10th birthday will be no exception!
